Internet use by country
Compare the share of the population using the Internet.
What it measures
This indicator estimates the percentage of individuals who used the Internet from any location during the previous three months. Access may be through a computer, mobile phone or another device. It tracks the spread of Internet use, but not connection speed, quality, affordability, frequency of use or digital skills. It is also distinct from the share of households with a connection.
How to interpret it
A value of 94.1% indicates that roughly 94 out of every 100 people were considered Internet users under the period’s sources and estimates. Changes are shown in percentage points.
